Turnbull Creek Farm is Certified Organic by the USDA and grows a wide variety of produce, herbs and flowers throughout the year. We love to grow vegetables and flowers of all kinds, and focus on varieties that taste delicious and are best suited for our southern ecosystem.
We have always grown organically, meaning we use no chemical inputs, herbicides, or pesticides of any kind. We became USDA Certified Organic in 2009.
We start most of our crops as transplants in our heated greenhouse. We use only organic, untreated, and non-GMO seeds, and organically certified, compost -based potting mix. Our seedlings are nurtured with fish emulsion foliar feed every couple of weeks, and plenty of our good well water.
Throughout the year, we practice succession planting to ensure a continuously abundant harvest of a diversity of produce. We offer a delicious selection of lettuces and other greens, beets, carrots, summer and winter squashes, melons of all kinds, tomatoes, eggplants, sweet and hot peppers, beans, garlic, basil varieties, and much more throughout the season.
We have two unheated hoophouse for year-round growing of cold-hardy vegetable crops.
